Google News India – The process of naturalization as a citizen in India has changed significantly since the inception of the country’s application for citizenship, said the Government of India in its new National Naturalization Policy (NNP) 2016-2020.
In an effort to streamline the process, the NNP 2016-2020 provides a set of steps to make naturalization easier and more transparent, as per the NNPC.
The new process has been designed to make the process as easy as possible for citizens of the world.
As a result, a citizen of the U.S., Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Netherlands, or France can obtain a passport for themselves.
The process is as simple as entering the correct information, the official added.
As per the official, the process for naturalization is now also as easy for foreign nationals of other countries.
In the NNNP, the country also added the option to naturalize from the country of birth.
In case the naturalization process is completed by a person born in a foreign country, the citizen will automatically be entitled to the benefits of naturalisation.
Naturalization is a process of giving up one’s citizenship.
The citizenship certificate, if issued, will give a right to citizenship.
It will not automatically confer any privileges.
The NNNPs application for naturalisation, issued on March 12, 2019, can be completed online.
The process for citizenship has been extended to include naturalization from overseas and it will be available in the next NNNPPs year.
