Nys is the first application site in Europe to accept applications for unemployed people from across Europe.
The Nys Unemployment Card application website is part of the EU’s Jobless Inclusion Strategy, a collaboration between EU Member States and the European Commission.
It is available in all 28 EU Member State welfare states, as well as Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
Applicants are asked to provide the official country of birth and the social security number for a person applying for a Jobseeker’s Allowance.
They are then asked to fill in the application form to confirm the identity of the person they are applying for and the date of their last paid work.

In addition, applicants can also request their fingerprints and photographs to be taken before applying.
The application fee for the Nies unemployment card is €20 for a single application, €40 for a couple, €60 for a family or joint application, and €80 for a joint application.
There are no cost for a company, which provides a number of different types of help including the Nises assistance centre and the National Agency for the Protection of the Social.
