McDonalds Inc. (NYSE:MCD) has hired 1,100 workers for a $1.9 billion US job opening, it announced Friday, as the U.S. dollar rises amid concerns over President Donald Trump’s proposed border tax.
McDonalds is hiring 1,500 full-time workers to support the expansion of the Canadian outlet in downtown Toronto.
The job will be located in the company’s main office building in downtown New York.
The Canadian unit of McDonald’s said the expansion will include a new restaurant, an additional 10 restaurants in the U.
“The expansion will be powered by the full-stack technology platform and digital technology, including the first-of-its-kind virtual restaurant, a digital delivery system and digital kitchen.
McD’s has already hired 1.2 million workers in the United States and Canada.
