Posted August 02, 2019 11:16:53The Csu university application process is getting even tougher with applications now being processed at the university application centre and some students are not being offered an invitation to take part.
The university application is now the most complex and complex process for any student to undertake as the application form is a three page document and requires the application to include all of the relevant personal information such as name, address, email address, birth date and university address.
“I would have been more than happy to have put in all the relevant details for my application,” said one student, who did not wish to be named.
“It’s quite an expensive process to have to fill in and that’s why I feel like I have been left out.”
For my first time applying for a degree I have not even been given an invitation for an interview so I’m not sure what it is that I need to do in order to get an invitation,” he added.”
The way I understand it, they just want you to be a student and that they can invite you to come to the application centre.””
There’s no way in hell I’m going to go and say ‘hey, let’s get together, we can have a drink together, let me see you in the application office’,” the student said.
Another student said she was not surprised by the changes, which have been in place since June 2018.”
What’s happening with the university is that they’re doing this all on their own,” she said.”
They’ve never been able to actually get the university to give them an invitation.””
It is quite strange, the university just has this attitude of ‘we’ve got it sorted and we’re going to do this on our own’,” she added.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Csu’s Department of Student Affairs and Support confirmed the university was using a process that “seeks to minimise the impact on applicants and the university community”.”
Applications will not be made on a priority basis,” the university added. “
In accordance with this process, the University of Queensland is not able to respond to individual applications for admissions and therefore does not have the ability to make individual decisions on the basis of applications received by the University.”
“Applications will not be made on a priority basis,” the university added.
The university has not provided a timeline for when the application processing system will be changed and the department did not respond to a request for an explanation.
“If you are in the process of applying for admission, it’s your responsibility to understand what you’re applying for and how you are applying for it,” the department’s statement said, adding it was not providing details on how long the process would take.
“If there are any circumstances which prevent you from completing the process as quickly as possible, we encourage you to contact us at [email protected] to discuss your case and the process in more detail.”
The university said in a statement it was aware of some applicants who had been refused invitations to attend the application process.
“However, there has been no change in the university process and we will not comment on individual cases,” it said.
Applications for students will still be accepted on a case by case basis and students must meet certain requirements before they can apply for a place at Csu.
